In life, we inevitably experience both happiness and suffering — like fruits growing on a tree.

The greater the happiness, the larger the fruit grows. The same goes for suffering. These fruits weigh the tree down, keeping it rooted in place, unable to move freely.

The more we cling to happiness, the more those fruits continue to grow and multiply. Some trees become grand and beautiful, heavy with abundant fruit. But rarely do people notice the tree that stands empty — without any fruit at all. It appears light, peaceful, and free from burden.

When a tree bears no fruit, no new seeds fall to create young trees either.
