Coco — her full name is Coco Ichiban. I was the one who named her because her fur pattern looks like Japanese curry rice, and the curry restaurant I love is called Coco. That’s how she got her name.
Coco has been through so much.
In the beginning, she lived at home when our family of five was still together, warm and lively. During that time, Coco was incredibly happy — the house was always full of people and energy.
But as time passed, each person gradually moved on to build their own life. From five people, it eventually became just two at home — Dee and Coco.
At first, Coco seemed very sad. She almost looked depressed, as if she couldn’t understand where everyone had gone. But slowly, with time, she began to adjust and learn how to live in the quieter space.
Whenever I have the chance, I take turns visiting Dee and Coco. Just to check in. Just to be there for a while.
