DeeDee was born from Mae Pam, who once ran away from home and came back pregnant. When Mae Pam gave birth, DeeDee was one of her kittens.

At one point, someone adopted DeeDee. But in the end, they had to bring her back because she seemed constantly afraid — always anxious, easily startled, almost haunted by everything around her.

When she returned, she really was just like they described — timid and tense all the time.

But as time passed, and as she received steady love from us — no shouting, no forceful handling, no grabbing — she slowly began to change. She became calmer, more trusting.

Now she often comes to sleep beside me. Whether I’m playing games or watching a movie, she’ll climb up and settle on top of me, staying close the whole time.
