The rose apple tree in our backyard has been cut back twice. The first time was when we moved into the house, and the second time was when we decided to build a roof to keep the rain out.

The tree helped us a lot. Whenever it rained, it provided excellent shelter and kept the rain away. When it came time to cut it back, I struggled with the decision for quite a while because I had grown attached to it. In the end, though, it had to be done; otherwise, we wouldn't have been able to build the roof.

Fortunately, the tree didn't die. We continued taking care of it and kept it as a small, cute little tree.
