The Bodhi leaf was the beginning of everything.
Luang Phi Thee suggested that I try drawing one. I drew countless versions, but no matter how many I made, something always felt off. I never felt that they were good enough.
In reality, the drawings themselves were not bad at all. What was lacking was not the artwork, but my own mind—constantly dissatisfied, always finding something to criticize.
Once I came to understand that, everything changed. The problem had never been the drawings; it had been my attachment to my own expectations.
And with that realization, the beginning finally began.
