My mother, Jaeng, really enjoys releasing crabs back into nature. Over the past few years, I have often taken her to a place in Samut Sakhon specifically designated for crab releases.

The place is called Khok Kham Crab Release Station. It is located within a mangrove forest and serves as a conservation area where people can release crabs into their natural habitat.

Before releasing them, we have to cut the strings used to tie the crabs together. It's more difficult than it sounds. On two occasions, my mother was pinched by the crabs and ended up bleeding a little, but fortunately the injuries were not serious.

After we finish releasing the crabs, we usually stop by a nearby restaurant and have a meal together before heading home.
