On a sleepless night, I got up to draw.
From the studio room, I noticed a strange red glow coming from the house across the street. At first, it honestly felt a little scary — the color was intensely red, and my room was completely dark. It was 2:15 a.m.
But I decided to ignore it and turned on my own light to continue working.
After I finished, I looked again more carefully to see what that light actually was. It turned out to be a Chinese-style lantern — very bright — casting a deep red glow that filled the entire room across the way.
I’m not sure why it was turned on. I’ve never seen it before — but then again, I’m usually not awake at 2:15 in the morning.
