Conan, my brother Ball's short-legged Corgi, is an incredibly intelligent dog. When I met him in person, I immediately felt that he wasn't really a dog—he was more like a little person.
Whenever I took him for a walk, if he wanted to go somewhere, I had to follow. If I tried to go another way, he would simply sit down and look at me as if to say, "Hey, what are you doing?"
At home, if he wasn't happy about something, he would sometimes pee indoors to make his point. Because of that, some people might think he was a troublesome dog. But the truth is that he loves us very much and is actually very easy to live with.
Every day, he sleeps beside Ball and spends most of his time quietly keeping him company.
